2012 WORLD PROFESSIONAL MARTIAL ARTS HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONS: January 14, 2012 Five masters of the Cheezic Tang Soo Do Federation were honored and inducted into the 2012 World Professional Martial Arts Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in New York City. Congratulations to Master Roger LaFrance, Master Gary Welton, Master Adam Gorski, Master Nancy Robinson, and Master Michael Cavallaro on this special honor.. The World Professional Martial Arts Hall of Fame, established in 1968, is led by Grandmaster Aaron Banks, world renown martial arts legend and premiere martial arts event promoter. CALL FOR JUDGES, REFEREES AND SCORE COORDINATORS Master Cavallaro is looking for black belt volunteers to assist at the upcoming Federation Challenge Tournament for sparring and weapons, Sunday, January 22, 2012. Whether you are competing or not, please consider helping out - doing so benefits everyone because the tournament can run faster when more judging and score keeping jobs are filled. See you at the tournament! 2011 STUDENT OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS NOW DUE Instructors are asked to please submit your nominations for Student of the Year to Grandmaster Cheezic as soon as possible. Nominations are being accepted in the following categories for every Federation dojang: Ninja, Youth, Adult. LOUIS UNIVERSITY DOJANG VISITS CONNECTICUT Instructors and students from the Cheezic Tang Soo Do St. Louis University dojang will visit Connecticut during the weekend of February 10-12. The group will arrive in Connecticut on Friday, February 10th. That evening, Grandmaster Cheezic will conduct a black belt grading for four St. Louis University black belt candidates. Federation masterbelts are invited to attend the grading in support of these students and their instructors. The February 10th grading will take place at Federation Headquarters in Naugatuck at 6pm. After a restful Saturday, the St. Louis University dojang students and instructors will attend the 2012 Best of Our Best Awards Banquet where they will perform. Our banquet theme of "Celebrating the University Dojangs of Cheezic Tang Soo Do" will host exciting demonstrations from all of our college dojangs. Oxford students may consider our Naugatuck dojang (Master Doug Wilke); East Hartford students may consider our Vernon dojang (Master Ken Fish); and Colebrook students may consider our Canton dojang (Master Mark Sawyer).
