Kamp Karate
Over 30 Years of Fun and Tang Soo Do
For more than 30 years, the Cheezic Tang Soo Do Federation has hosted its annual Karate Kamp weekend at Bobriwka Campground in Colebrook, Connecticut. This long-standing tradition brings together students and families for a fun, immersive weekend of Tang Soo Do training, outdoor activities, and community. Karate Kamp runs from Friday through Sunday and includes all meals beginning with Friday dinner. Participants may camp in tents or RVs, with showers and bathrooms available on site, and every registrant receives a Karate Kamp T-shirt.
Throughout the weekend, students take part in martial arts seminars led by experienced Master Belts and Black Belts from across the federation. Training is organized by age and belt rank and offers the chance to work with a variety of instructors and teaching styles. Seminars may include board breaking, forms and weapons, sparring techniques, self-defense, and popular Ninja Training. For those unable to attend the full weekend, Saturday-only seminar registration is also available.
Karate Kamp is about more than training. After a day on the mat, campers can relax and enjoy the grounds while participating in group activities designed to be fun, inclusive, and memorable. Past favorites include the Iron Chef Contest, Ninja Hunt, egg toss, watermelon-eating contest, and more. All activities are supervised by instructors, creating a safe and supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities and offering parents peace of mind. Above all, Karate Kamp is a place to make new friends, build confidence, and create lifelong memories.
